Rameshwaram is famous temple in india . rameshwaram is town and a second grade muncipality in ramnathapuram district in  the southern india state tamil nadhu.
it is on pambhan islend seprated from mainland of india by the pambhan channel and is about 40 kilometers from mannar island.
